New Feature Released to Reduce Unintentional Editing of Derivative Activities

With this Thursday's release, Echo has a new behavior designed to minimize the chances that teachers will unintentionally edit activities in their derivatives and thus disconnect them from their master course.

When teachers attempt to edit an item in a derivative, they will be asked to confirm that they want to customize the derivative or be taken to the same item in the master so that all of their derivatives will be updated.

This message will only appear when the teacher attempts to edit activities in a derivative course.  We hope the extra click isn't too burdensome and that this verification ultimately prevents teacher frustrations.  Look for other changes in the future that will help teachers more easily navigate masters and derivatives.
