The Activity grader allows you to access and edit all student scores for a specific activity using the following tools:
To enter the Activity grader enter a course through the Gradebook tool.
Click the Activities tab and select an activity that needs grading.
This is the Activity grader page.
Quick-Edit Grading
To enter scores quickly for an assignment, click the Enable quick-edit grading icon.
Click Save to stop grading and revisit later without returning scores to students.
Click Submit all scores when ready to return scores to students.
Place an X in any blank to excuse an outcome.
Batch update scores
To give the entire class or a group of students the same score, click the Tools icon and select Batch update scores.
The batch update window has three tabs:
Auto-fill score:
- From the dropdown select the group of students you'd like to batch update (unscored, unsubmitted, submitted and unscored, or all).
- Fill in the scores for each outcome.
- Select return scores to students.
- Click Update.
Excuse:
- From the dropdown select the group of students you'd like to excuse (unsubmitted, submitted, or all).
- Click Update.
Allow retry:
- From the dropdown select the group of students you'd like to allow a retry. (submitted, submitted and scored, submitted or unscored).
- Click Update.
Jump between derivative courses
When you're using the activity grader in a courses that are derivatives of the same Base course, you have the ability to jump to the Activity grader for this same activity in another derivative.
When finished grading the assignment in this derivative, click the Jump to course menu and select another derivative.
Now you are in the Activity grader in a different course, but the same activity making grading across courses easy.
