Share content between schools to learn from and collaborate with other educators
Echo can allow staff from one school to “subscribe” to the digital library of another school in the New Tech Network. For example, school districts can use this feature to share curriculum between its schools. Additionally, schools in the Network might elect to partner with each other to collaborate on curriculum.
Internal Subscriptions (Within Your School District): Your Echo Administrator can create subscription records between any of the schools within your domain. To learn how to create a subscription record in Echo, please see How do I add subscriptions to my domain?
External Subscriptions (Outside Your School District): To allow a school outside your district to subscribe to your school’s library, NTN must perform the initial setup and requires a written authorization (email request to the Help Desk) from the Provider school containing:
- Provider School contact user name and ID
- Subscriber School's domain name and ID
- Subscription Start Date
- Subscription End Date
- Note: The End Date triggers an automated un-subscription process. If no date is specified, the subscription will remain until a subsequent request is made to terminate the subscription.
- Authorization by the Provider school's leader (e.g., principal, director, superintendent, assistant superintendent, etc.)
NTN Support will complete the work and the Subscriber school will then be able to access the Provider's content.
Once the work has been completed, NTN Support will notify the requester through the original Help Desk ticket.
Echo is constantly being improved based on the feedback from users and we strive to keep our documentation up to date. If this document doesn’t match what you are seeing in Echo, please let us know.
