How do I create additional badges?

Note: This document references views and actions that are only available to Echo Administrators.

Add badge image files to your resources

To use badge images beyond what's included in Echo, upload the desired files using the Manage Resources screen of the Configure tool (How do I upload files using Manage Resources?).

Be sure to follow these guidelines when creating your files:

  • Required file type: PNG
  • Ideal size: 128x128

Configure teacher-assignable badges

Badges configured in the Admin App wlll be available for teachers to award using the Clipboard.  

 

Create an additional badge

In the Admin App on the Domain tab, click on Settings at the top.

Click the Course Options tab in the Settings window. Click the Add link under the Badges section.

Create the badge.

Name: Title of the badge

Image: Choose a file from your computer to upload as an image. It's recommended as a PNG file and 90x90 size.

Description: Brief description of the badge.

Requirements: Requirements that the student must meet to be awarded the badge.

Issuer Name, Issuer Organization, Issuer Contact E-mail Address are all optional fields.

 

Click "OK" to save the badge settings. Teachers in the domain are now able to use the additional badge in their course.
