Enrollment Status

The list of Course Enrollment Status is short but there are nuances.

Terms and Definitions

Active: User is actively enrolled.

Withdrawn: Applies only to student enrollments in courses or sections. Student has withdrawn from a course and receives no score. For example, the student withdrew from the course while within the grace period for withdrawals.

Withdrawn Failed: Applies only to student enrollments in courses or sections. Student has withdrawn from the course and failed it. For example, the student dropped out after the grace period for withdrawals has passed.

Transferred: Applies only to student enrollments in courses or sections. Student has withdrawn from the course because the student transferred away. Student receives no final score.

Completed: Applies only to student enrollments in courses or sections. Student has completed the course and has received a passing final score.

Completed No Credit: Applies only to student enrollments in courses or sections. Student has completed the course but receives no credit for completing it.

Suspended: User’s enrollment is currently suspended. User cannot participate until re-instated to the Active status.

Inactive: User’s enrollment is inactive.

    Is there an enrollment status that allows a teacher to still see the student and their grades, but the student can't see the course?

    What happens to the record of a dropped student? What happens to their grades?
