How do I add activities to my course?

Echo provides activity templates to facilitate quick creation of a variety of activities that support personalized and project-based learning models. You can create Wikis and Discussion threads to promote collaborative knowledge creation and idea exchange, Journals and Blogs for personal reflection, RSS feeds to support research, as well as more traditional assignments and assessments.

To add activities:

Click the Editor (pencil) icon on the course that needs an activity.

HINT: If you have a course with derivatives and you want the activity you are creating to go to each derivative make sure you add the activity in the Base course. If you only want the activity to show up in one of the derivatives, click the editor icon to add the activity to the derivative course only.

In the editor tool of the course click the +Add Activity.

In the popup menu choose the type of activity.

From here, navigate through the tabs as needed and make any adjustments. Click Save when finished.
