Do you need to send a direct message to your teacher? Echo allows you to send a message to any teacher of a course you are enrolled in. You might want to ask a teacher about a grade, send them additional work or ask them about work you might have missed when absent.
Note: When using the communication tool to send a message to your teacher, all other course graders will also receive this message. If you want to send a private note to your teacher, it is best to use their school email.
When on the homepage, select the "communication tool" from the main menu.
Click the "Filter by course" icon located in the top tool bar.
From the drop down, click on the course that has the teacher you would like to send a direct message to.
Click the, "Send mail" icon located in the top tool bar.
Write the message and click "Send". Keep in mind that any message sent using the communication tool, is delivered to course graders in addition to your teacher. If you need to communicate with your teacher privately, use their school email or another platform.

Send messages and review course announcements
Echo allows you to send messages that are delivered to your teacher and and any additional graders in a course using their external email addresses.
- Open the Communication tool from the Main Menu.
- Select the desired course from the Course Chooser in the side of your toolbar.
- Click Send Mail in the the toolbar.
- Write your message and click Send. Keep in mind that any message sent here is delivered to course graders in addition to your teacher. If you need to communicate with your teacher privately, use external email or another platform.
