Summary
On Tuesday, March 18th, The NTN Member Resources tool that currently exists in Echo will be removed from Echo. The member manager tool that school leaders use to manage who can access New Tech Network's digital resources will be moved into a new location into the NTN Help Center.
The NTN Member Manager tool will continue to:
- Display NTN membership contract information and end date for schools.
- Allow schools to easily allocate their membership licenses to the appropriate staff members.
- Users who manage licenses for more than one school will now be able to manage both from one account!
Many of the functions of the current NTN Member Manager tool will continue to exist in the new version. Updated documentation will be provided when the tool becomes live for end users on March 18th.
Action Items
There is no immediate action required of you. The NTN Platform team has done their best to identify those individuals who are active in our network and will retain their membership status after the transition. This should prevent any individual from losing access to resources they already use. But, as staff transition in and out of your school, keeping your membership up-to-date will be important. Here's how you can get started:
Review Current Contract and Memberships
- Log into Echo and access the NTN Member Resources tool. On the Member Management tab, review your current contract information and licenses. Also review the current list of staff and adjust membership allocation as needed (please feel free to review directions on how to do this Managing Network Membership). In some cases, your school will have already met or exceeded your membership licenses. This will require you to remove existing memberships before you can add any new ones.
In order to facilitate this transition of the host from the Echo MRT to the Help Center Member Manager tool, the Echo MRT will be taken offline on Monday, March 17th. If any users have trouble accessing the NTN Help Center during this down period, please reach out to the Echo Help Desk for technical support.
