Question banks allow teachers to build assessments using pre-built collection of questions which can save time and increase consistency. To learn more about creating question banks, click here.
When using question banks to create an assessment, Echo creates a link to the question. The question cannot be edited in the assessment nor can the question be edited in the question bank once a link is established.
To link to a question bank question within an assessment, enter a course through the editor tool.
Click the +Add Activity.
Select the assessment activity type.
Give the assessment a title.
Within the settings tab, configure the gradebook settings.
1. Select the questions tab.
2. Click link to existing question icon.
From the list of folders and activities, find the question bank you would like to pull questions from. Use the expand button next to the folders to open them.
Once the question bank is located, click the expand button next to the question bank. This will open the question bank and give a list of all the questions within the bank.
Select the questions you want to add to the current assessment by checking the box next to the desired question.
To view question details before selecting, click the preview icon next to a question.
Once desired questions are selected, click save in the lower right hand corner.
All questions selected from the question bank are now loaded into the current assessment.
Note: To edit question details, you will need to do so within the question bank that they originate in.
Once the assessment is set up with desired questions, click save in the upper right hand corner.
