When submitting final grades, teachers are given the option to Zero All Unscored Activities. This allows teachers save time grading by leaving activities that were not submitted ungraded, and then quickly assign them all a zero at once.
If a student misses those activities with a legitimate reason and later needs to be granted an extension on their work, administrators can grant an extension, which will automatically allow the student to retry these activities.
To do so:
- Open the Courses tool, and select the desired course.
- Open the Enrollments tab, and select the student.
- Click the End date, and select the desired extension date on the calendar.
- Check the Allow retry on auto-zeroed activities box that appears below. This only changes the scores that were zeroed for being past-due at the time of submitting final grades.
- Save.
